Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 tablespoons honey or brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup active sourdough starter
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 1 large egg beaten
- 2 tablespoons coconut oil or vegetable oil
Instructions
- Mix together all the dry ingredients: flour, baking powder and soda, sugar and salt.
- Add the sourdough starter, milk, egg and oil. Mix well.
- Separate pancake batter into different bowls so you can add the food coloring drops. Add as many drops to get your desired color.
- Pour 1/4 cup pancake batter on the preheated oiled pan. Cook until the pancake starts bubbling on top, then flip the pancake.
- It is best to cook on low heat to allow the fun vibrant colors to stand out more
- Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes or until the pancake is cooked through.
- Makes approximately 12 pancakes
